Detailed Job Description

We are looking for an experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize MySQL database environments across on-premises and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with MySQL administration, Linux/Unix, database performance tuning, replication, high availability, backup/recovery, and production support. The candidate will also work closely with application development and DevSecOps teams to ensure database reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

·         Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL, Redis, and PostgreSQL databases.

·         Manage database replication, high availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.

·         Administer AWS services including RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.

·         Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, schema management, and capacity planning.

·         Monitor database environments using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, PMM, Datadog, or MonYog.

·         Automate database and infrastructure tasks using Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Shell scripting, or Python.

·         Troubleshoot production issues and participate in an on-call rotation.

Must Have Skills

·         MySQL DBA & performance tuning

·         AWS database experience
