Whether you're looking for space to spread out, a welcoming community, or proximity to Houston, Waller provides an outstanding quality of life.\n \nIf you're looking for an opportunity to lead an established, respected hospital while enjoying a supportive team, a strong culture, and the ability to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to connect with you.\nEssential Responsibilities:\n\n Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.\n Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.\n Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.\n Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.\n Provide counsel around pet end of life care.\n Maintain patients’ medical records.\n Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.\n\nRequirements/Qualifications:\n\n Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.\n Appropriate state licensure.\n\n\n Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.\n Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\n Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.\n Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.\n\nBenefits Offered:\n\n Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experience\n Unlimited personal time\n Bonus incentives\n Health insurance; dental insurance; vision insurance\n Retirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)\n CE and licensure reimbursement \n Flexible work schedules\n Managing career path development\n Employee Assistance Program\n DVM Referral Program\n Mental Health Resources\n Relocation assistance available\n\nPay Range: USD $140,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
