REED Engineering & Manufacturing specialises in placing both blue-collar and white-collar professionals into temporary and permanent positions across the UK's engineering and manufacturing sectors.

We are looking to recruit a Recruitment Consultant to join our busy and successful Engineering & Manufacturing team.

The Opportunity

As an Engineering & Manufacturing Recruitment Consultant, you will work with a diverse client portfolio across a range of industries, including:

• Defence
• Aerospace
• Nuclear
• Automotive
• Pharmaceutical
• FMCG
• Aviation
• Oil & Gas
• Electronics
• Renewable Energy

Your role will involve partnering with both employers and jobseekers, understanding recruitment requirements, and matching talented professionals with exciting career opportunities.

This is a rewarding sales and consultancy role where you will effectively manage your own desk as a business within a business. You will be supported by industry-leading technology, extensive training, and one of the UK's largest recruitment databases to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients.
• Identify recruitment opportunities within engineering and manufacturing businesses.
• Source, interview, and assess candidates.
• Match candidates to suitable vacancies and manage the recruitment process from start to finish.
• Conduct business development activities, including sales calls and client meetings.
• Manage candidate and client expectations throughout the recruitment journey.
• Achieve and exceed agreed activity and revenue targets.
• Adapt quickly to changing market conditions and recruitment demands.

• Confidence engaging with both candidates and senior decision-makers.
• Previous recruitment, sales, or customer-facing experience is advantageous but not essential.
