Job Title: Market Research Analyst


Location: Plano, TX


Pay Rate: 49.00hr - 49.00hr


Schedule: Fully on-site, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

  • Responsibilities:


    Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.

    Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with marketing professionals, statisticians, pollsters, and other professionals.

    Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data.

    Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution.

    Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.

    Develop and implement procedures for identifying advertising needs.

    Direct trained survey interviewers.

    Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis to assess market dynamics, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences in the mobile, home entertainment, and digital appliances segments.

    Collect and analyze data from various sources, including market reports, industry publications, and internal databases, to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

    Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Competitive Intelligence to align analytical objectives with the subsidiary's Mystery Shop Data needs.

    Utilize in-house tools, Tableau and techniques, with a focus on Excel, to organize and interpret complex data sets.

    Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to key stakeholders.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and retail execution sales teams, to provide strategic insights and support decision-making processes.

    Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to stay informed of market trends and emerging threats or opportunities.

    Assist in the development of competitive intelligence strategies and frameworks to enhance the company's competitive position.




    Requirements:


    Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field.

    2 to 5 years of experience in competitive analysis, market research, or related fields.

    Proven expertise in Excel, data analysis, and visualization techniques.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.

    Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

    Experience in the consumer electronics industry or related sectors is preferred but not required.

    This role requires being onsite in Plano, TX office Monday through Friday.


    Preferred Skills:

    Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and manage one's time.

    Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.

    Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
