Job Title: Learning & Development Specialist (Production)
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite)
Job Description:
Is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to support manufacturing training operations. This role is responsible for coordinating employee training, conducting new hire onboarding, maintaining training records, and ensuring compliance with manufacturing procedures and quality standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with production leadership to identify training needs, develop training materials, evaluate employee competency, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and deliver training for manufacturing personnel.
Conduct new hire orientation and support employee onboarding.
Maintain training records, training matrices, and compliance documentation.
Develop and update training materials and work instructions.
Assess employee competency and support certification programs.
Partner with production leaders to improve training effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, ISO 13485, safety, and quality requirements.
Support process improvement and manufacturing readiness activities.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
Manufacturing experience preferred; medical device experience is a plus.
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Experience with LMS, Compliance Wire, Agile PLM, SAP, or MES is preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Flexible hours based on business needs)
