Structural Engineer II, Marine | Vancouver, WA, United States | Hybrid | $112,000 - $122,000

The Role

  • Design vessel structures meeting specification requirements, creating models, drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Perform structural analysis and design for marine fabrication and shipyard projects.
  • Develop and review structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Support production personnel during the construction phase and participate in sea trials.
  • Evaluate and disposition non-conformances, repairs, and deviations related to structural work.
  • Coordinate with planners, weld engineers, and production leads to ensure designs are executable.

What You'll Need

  • BS in an engineering discipline (Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering preferred).
  • Five (5) years of marine experience, with vessel design and construction experience being a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ABS, USCG, NAVSEA, AISC, and relevant shipbuilding codes.
  • Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Ship Constructor, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions from complex documents.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
