Senior Application Developer

Job Summary We are seeking an Application Developer to join an Agile Scrum team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, product teams, and stakeholders to implement scalable applications, mentor team members, and contribute to the successful delivery of enterprise software using modern Java technologies. Key Responsibilities Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and day-to-day development activities. Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions within project timelines. Collaborate with architects to design solutions for complex business requirements. Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand and implement business needs. Lead and mentor development team members while promoting coding standards and best practices. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services. Build and enhance web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases. Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to support evolving business needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum 4 years of experience in Java/JEE development. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot. Minimum 2 years of experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL programming. Minimum 3 years of experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and web services. Minimum 2 years of experience with JPA/Hibernate or Spring Data Repositories. Experience collaborating with product management, architects, and business stakeholders. Experience developing web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular or ReactJS. Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Rally, JIRA, or RTC. Experience with automated testing practices. Experience using version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket. Experience with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration (CI) tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or Mocha. Knowledge of application security and performance optimization. Experience with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap. Experience developing microservices and cloud-native applications. Experience working in the Insurance domain. Education: Bachelors Degree
