Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• Hands-on CONEX / containerized test setup build experience
• Structural test background
• Electrical wiring and electrical controls
• CAD — Siemens NX (they do not use SolidWorks)
• Advisement-level capability on test equipment builds — able to guide, not just execute

Scope:

• Roughly: Buildout 50% / Integration 30% / Site ownership 20% / Design 10%
• Four CONEX builds queued at CTS to expand hazardous testing capability: shipping container with UDS, thermal chamber, 40-ft office buildout, 10-ft-tall CONEX
• Ongoing test equipment builds beyond the queue — dyno builds, thermal chambers, salt fog chambers  
• PLC controls, wiring, and some programming on the builds
• Structural design of the chambers themselves — figuring out how to build them
• Project type shifts frequently — must be comfortable moving between builds
