Position Overview

Value Technology is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong Mud Pump and OTS component design experience to support Halliburton's engineering team in Spring, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing mud pumps and related oil & gas equipment, along with strong proficiency in SolidWorks, engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up, FEA, hydraulic systems, and applicable API/ISO industry standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Proven experience with Mud Pump design and development
• Experience with OTS (Oilfield Tubular/related equipment) component design
• Strong mechanical design and product development experience
• Proficiency with SolidWorks
• Experience performing engineering calculations
• Strong understanding of tolerance stack-up
• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
• Knowledge of applicable API and ISO standards
• Familiarity with API 6A, API 7K, and API 8C
• Understanding of hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs

Preferred Qualifications

• Oil & Gas industry experience
• Experience designing drilling, pressure-control, or oilfield equipment
• Experience taking mechanical components from concept through detailed design and release
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical assemblies
• Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop mud pumps and related equipment
• Develop and modify mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Perform engineering calculations and mechanical analyses
• Conduct tolerance stack-up studies and support design optimization
• Perform or support FEA to validate component and assembly designs
• Work with hydraulic systems and P&IDs
• Ensure designs comply with applicable API and ISO requirements
• Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, quality, and other engineering teams
• Support troubleshooting, design improvements, and product development activities
