Job Description

Our client is a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding team. This role will focus on the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, with particular emphasis on highways, traffic, and drainage schemes. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of project delivery, from initial concept through to detailed design and implementation, working on projects spanning residential, public, private, and commercial sectors. Key Responsibilities:

Design of highways, drainage, and/or traffic infrastructure in accordance with relevant standards and best practices Preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and reports Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders Supporting project delivery to ensure work is completed on time and within budget Contributing to the development of junior team members where appropriate

Requirements:

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design, particularly in highways and/or drainage Proven experience in infrastructure design, particularly in highways and/or drainage Experience working on residential development schemes, including S278 and S38 agreements, would be highly advantageous Strong knowledge of UK design standards and guidance, including Manual for Streets, DMRB, and Design and Construction Guidance (DCG) Experience using relevant design software Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Experience using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD packages, InfoDrainage and/or Civil 3D
