Vice President, Delivery Practitioner

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Delivery Practitioner to join our team. This role is located in London or Manchester.

Role purpose

The Vice President, Delivery Practitioner within the global Solutions team leads complex, product and commercial focused transformation initiatives from an initially ambiguous problem or opportunity through to a structured approach, mobilized solution and measurable outcome. The role combines strong delivery discipline with enterprise commercial and financial judgement, client orientation and practical service or product development. Working across business, product, commercial coverage, operations, technology, finance, risk and legal partners, the successful candidate will help turn ideas into viable solutions for BNY clients and improve how BNY brings those solutions to market.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Frame ambiguous delivery, business, client or commercial questions, clarify the core problem, define hypotheses and structure the work required to reach an actionable answer.

• Shape, lead and support work from idea through validation and delivery, including opportunity assessment, stakeholder discovery, solution shaping, business case development, mobilisation, implementation and benefits tracking.

• Bring a commercial perspective to transformation topics by considering client value, revenue potential, cost-to-serve, pricing, contracting, operating model implications, scalability and execution risk.

• Partner with client-facing teams, product, technology and business leaders and subject matter experts to identify unmet client needs and translate them into differentiated, feasible and controlled solutions.

• Conduct structured analysis using qualitative and quantitative inputs; synthesize complex information into clear insights, choices and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

• Create compelling executive materials and narratives that explain the issue, evidence, trade-offs, recommendation, implementation path and decisions required.

• Establish proportionate delivery plans, governance, milestones, dependencies, risks and success measures, applying programme management discipline without allowing process to replace outcomes.

• Build alignment across stakeholders with different priorities, influence without direct authority and navigate uncertainty, challenge and organisational complexity.

• Run working sessions and decision forums that move teams from discussion to decisions, ownership and action.

• Identify and manage commercial, operational, regulatory and execution risks in line with BNY policies and control expectations, while seeking practical routes to progress.

• Contribute reusable approaches, frameworks and lessons learned that strengthen the Enterprise Transformation Hub’s ability to solve recurring enterprise challenges.
   

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, economics, finance, strategy, product, operations, engineering or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience in management consulting, commercial transformation, product or service development, technology transformation, business design, or complex cross-functional delivery.

• Demonstrated ability to take loosely defined problems, create structure quickly and progress them with limited direction.

• Underpin transformation experience with strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to understand how client needs, proposition design, pricing, contracts, economics and operating capabilities connect.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, including concise executive writing and presentation development.

• Credible stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage senior colleagues and subject matter experts.

• Experience in financial services or another complex, regulated, business-to-business environment is preferred.

• Project, programme, Agile, Lean or process-improvement expertise is valuable, but formal certification is not essential.
