Who We Are

Founded by a practicing physician and a senior pharmaceutical executive, Impiricus was created to transform how life sciences companies support physicians. We ethically connect HCPs to pharma resources, reduce go-to-market costs and accelerate patient access to the treatments they need.

With our unique access to the largest opted-in network of HCPs, their insights, and clinical expertise, we are the leading provider of AI technology and real-time channels that life science companies need to deliver clear, reliable, and evidence-based resources directly into the hands of HCPs. Guided by a council of 2000+ trusted HCP advisors, we ensure every interaction is clinically meaningful, ethically grounded and leads to better patient care.

Job Summary

As Sr. Director, Commercial Data & Analytics at Impiricus, you will operate as a hybrid leader for our Commercial Analytics team. Reporting to the VP, Data & Analytics, your time will be balanced between two critical modes: helping lead the team's day-to-day analytical execution (including managing analysts and occasionally performing hands-on analysis yourself) and taking ownership of some of our most high-visibility initiatives.

This is a true player-coach role for someone equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves on an analytical workstream as well as standing shoulder-to-shoulder with commercial leaders in high-stakes client conversations. You can take an ambiguous business question, scope it, guide or build the analysis (pulling in other stakeholders and data owners as needed), and present the outputs to a pharma client or executive audience without needing a layer of review. Critically, you care as much about how an insight lands for the client's context as whether the math is right, and you bring the client-facing polish and gravitas to be trusted in the room.

Responsibilities

Drive Campaign Performance Analysis and Client Insight Delivery

  • Monitor client performance against defined success metrics, surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities before they appear in client conversations. This includes analyses that aren’t simple, straightforward, or easily available, and that require you to work with other stakeholders to construct.
  • Present findings to clients and lead analytics input for QBRs, EBRs, and ad-hoc executive updates, ensuring data is accurate, clearly positioned, and aligned to client goals.
  • Translate complex data into bespoke narratives tailored to each client's brand objectives, ensuring insights are both actionable and impactful.
  • Build compelling visual stories tailored to audience needs across Client Services, Sales, and external clients.

Drive High-Visibility Strategic Initiatives

  • Directly support initiatives, analyses, and client relationships that require judgment and analytical skill.
  • Independently scope and lead complex, ambiguous analyses, pulling in Data Engineering, Product, Client Services, and other stakeholders as needed to get to an answer.
  • Flex fluidly between hands-on execution and executive-level representation, depending on what a given initiative or client moment requires.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a key analytical partner to Client Services, Sales, Product, and Operations.
  • Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations with clarity and confidence.
  • Represent the D&A team independently in cross-functional discussions and client meetings.
  • Contribute to broader team initiatives by taking on new projects, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement.

Drive Growth and Business Development

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to secure renewals, drive expansion, and deepen client engagement through data-driven insights.
  • Go beyond reporting to generate recommendations that help account teams win.
  • Support business development with data-backed opportunity assessments drawing on internal and external sources.
  • Produce crisp, confident presentations and insight summaries for senior stakeholders.

Lead and Develop the Analytics Team

  • Closely support day-to-day management of analysts and ensure consistent standards, prioritization, and delivery across coverage areas.
  • Own and continuously raise the quality bar on everything the team delivers, setting clear standards for accuracy, methodology, and client-ready polish, and holding the team accountable to them.
  • Manage and coach analysts, providing day-to-day direction, feedback, and career development.
  • Serve as primary reviewer for their work, validating logic, methodology, and communication framing
  • Balance competing priorities and keep delivery on schedule.
  • Apply and reinforce standards for methodology, visualization, and client-ready storytelling; help shape those standards alongside the Head of Commercial D&A.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in quantitative or analytics-focused roles, illustrating the traits outlined above.
  • Proven, direct people-management experience, including performance management and mentorship.
  • Prior client-facing experience presenting complex data to non-technical audiences, including experience navigating high-stakes or executive-level conversations, not just presenting pre-packaged results.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted proxy for a senior analytics leader, comfortable being deputized into complex client or executive conversations on short notice.
  • Background in analytics within the life sciences industry.
  • Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills, with proven ability to manage complex analytical projects independently from scoping to delivery.
  • Excel / Google Sheets: expert-level, including advanced formulas, modeling, and structured analytical workflows.
  • Presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides): expert-level, with a track record of polished, client-ready decks.
  • Working proficiency in SQL for data analysis within a large relational database strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with visualization and analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Sigma, etc.).

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with program measurement approaches like Test vs. Control or Marketing Mix Modeling.
  • Experience with HCP-focused digital marketing or engagement campaigns for pharmaceutical brands.
  • Strong knowledge of Prescription (Rx) and Medical Claims (Dx) data.
  • Experience with AI-powered insights generation and reporting.
  • Agency, media, or vendor experience in healthcare technology.

The base compensation for this role is $170,000 - $200,000.

Where you land within the range will reflect your skills, experience, and location, while keeping team parity in mind and leaving room for future growth.
