Sr Technical Writer | Columbia, MD, United States | Hybrid | $84,900 - $178,400

They are seeking a skilled Senior Technical Writer to join a dedicated team focused on network security implementation and sustainment.

The Role

  • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation for software, systems engineering, operations, and user manuals.
  • Create installation, configuration, and how-to guides for hardware and software.
  • Develop code documentation, implementation guides, and end-user guides for new capabilities.
  • Produce reports, responses, and briefings for diverse audiences.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical information to produce clear and comprehensible documentation.
  • Formulate technical publications from various sources, including consultations with subject matter experts.

What You'll Need

  • Six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer on similar programs and contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience substitution).
  • Proficiency in writing technical copy, gathering technical information, and organizing complex data.
  • Experience with word processing and presentation tools (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Ability to coordinate document layout and design.
  • Experience producing defense acquisition documentation or documentation for complex electronic equipment and systems.
