Oberarzt (w/m/d) Unfallchirurgie | Leverkusen, Germany | On-site We are seeking a dedicated Senior Physician for our Trauma Surgery department, a critical role within a leading healthcare institution known for its specialized surgical, orthopedic, and internal medicine services. This is an opportunity to actively shape the quality of care, contribute to medical education, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration in a dynamic hospital environment located in one of Germany's major cities. The Role • Lead general trauma surgery consultations and provide comprehensive patient care across the full spectrum of trauma surgery. • Independently perform a range of surgical procedures for both inpatient and outpatient cases, ensuring thorough pre- and post-operative management. • Support medical documentation through digital dictation and actively participate in the "Durchgangsarztverfahren" (accredited casualty insurance physician process). • Take part in the on-call duty roster for senior physicians to ensure continuous trauma care beyond regular working hours. What You'll Need • Completed specialist training as a Physician (m/f/d) in Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery or Special Orthopedics/Trauma Surgery. • Confident execution of common trauma surgery procedures and experience in interdisciplinary emergency care. • A desire for professional development or existing experience in a senior physician role, ideally with completed courses for the D-Arzt-Verfahren. • Willingness to take responsibility for organizational and content-related processes and contribute to the advancement of the trauma surgery specialty. • A professional, empathetic demeanor, strong team player mentality, initiative, and flexibility.
