Data Engineer
Location: Pentagon (On-Site)​
Customer: Headquarters, U.S.

Marine Corps
Clearance: DoD SECRET (Active) Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Sr. Data Engineer experienced in designing and developing the infrastructure and systems required for data storage, data processing, and data analysis to support program efforts within Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps. Ideally, this individual will be intimately familiar with
Marine Corps logistics systems, logistics data and logistics data sources, and Marine Corps organization and structure.

Key Responsibilities: ●​ Ensure the viability of data/data sources applying HQMC Data Governance rules ●​ Design, develop, implement, and maintain data pipelines and data storage capabilities enabling reliable data integration, transformation, and delivery ●​ Prepare data for storage in a data warehouse / database environment ●​ Coordinate and obtain information internal and external to prepare spreadsheets, briefings, reports, and/or recommendations to assist in providing responses to queries as required.

Minimum Qualifications: ●​ Minimum of 5 years of experience with data analytics, data engineering, software engineering, or similar roles ●​ Bachelor’s degree in operations research, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a similar field.

Desired Qualifications: ●​ Prior experience supporting military data requirements; ideally the U.S. Marine Corps ●​ Familiarity of the organization structure of the Marine Corps operating forces, the Support Establishment, Reserves, and other DoD agencies ●​ Have a mastery of HQMC administrative organization, processes, and procedures ●​ Proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint ●​ Proficient in knowledge management to include 1) assessing needs and defining strategy, 2) analyze and design, 3) pilot and implement, 4) monitor and improve.
