Job description

Programme Manager, Engineering M&A - Integration & Synergy Delivery
As Programme Manager, Engineering M&A - Integration & Synergy Delivery, you will lead end-to-end programme delivery within the Engineering M&A team, delivering the product integrations required to achieve the revenue growth set out in the acquisition business case. Your remit covers Day 1 planning and engineering delivery from Day 1 onwards: preparing Product and Engineering teams within LSEG and the acquired company for acquisition completion, then coordinating engineering delivery, stabilisation and product integration.
You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed squads through a matrix, with line management and technical ownership retained by functional leaders. You will balance integration priorities with each organisation's planned product development and business-as-usual change, protecting organic growth across both businesses.
Taking a strategic, end-to-end view, you will align priorities, resources and dependencies to deliver business outcomes, enable revenue growth and cost savings, and safeguard existing products, customer experience and business continuity.
What you'll be doing
  • Define and lead the integrated delivery plan from Day 1 preparation through stabilisation and product integration, keeping LSEG's and the acquired company's priorities and milestones aligned.
  • Translate approved scope and estimates into work packages, agreeing deliverables, sequencing, milestones, acceptance criteria, owners, resource requirements, dependencies and escalation routes.
  • Agree ways of working across LSEG and the acquired company to enable productive sprints and remove collaboration barriers before product build begins.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of engineering leads and engineers and agree engineering backlogs and Day 1 build priorities across Workflows, Workspace, AI, Analytics, Data and Feeds.
  • Coordinate Product and Engineering readiness assessments, contingency plans and go/no-go recommendations, resolving or escalating readiness issues and confirming support arrangements for delivery.
  • Coordinate geographically distributed squads to deliver the approved Product Engineering scope, including core integration, foundational capabilities, new and enhanced products, stabilisation and transition, alongside existing-product maintenance and support.
  • Take responsibility for programme delivery, working with functional leads who own technical design, product priorities and day-to-day operations.
  • Plan integration alongside customer commitments, roadmaps and maintenance, coordinating release readiness, testing, operational acceptance and handover, including migration, transitional services, dual running and decommissioning where applicable.
  • Lead programme delivery within the LSEG Change Framework and established governance arrangements, working with the PMO Manager on required artefacts, assurance and reporting.
  • Lead programme risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and manage changes to scope, cost, resources and schedule through formal change control.
  • Partner with the Finance Business Partner, PMO Manager and benefit owners to agree measurable business outcomes and benefit targets against the baselined acquisition business case.
What you'll bring
Essential
  • Direct experience leading complex product and technology engineering programmes within the financial services sector.
  • Extensive experience leading programme delivery through a matrix of global, cross-functional engineering squads across locations and time zones, including roadmaps, prioritisation, cross-squad planning, release coordination and dependencies.
  • Experience leading programmes combining new product development with enhancement, maintenance and support of existing products.
  • Technical understanding to challenge plans and dependencies across data, APIs, platforms, cloud, AI and analytics, engineering tooling and operational readiness.
  • Excellent understanding of software delivery and release tools and processes, engineering ways of working, and the collaboration methods used by distributed engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders and engineering teams, engage in delivery detail, challenge constructively and secure clear decisions.
Desirable
  • Strong domain knowledge of financial data, market infrastructure, credit intelligence, analytics or workflow products, including how customers use them.
  • Experience integrating acquired data and product capabilities into an established financial services technology estate.
  • Experience overseeing AI-enabled products, data-platform integration, API ecosystems or customer-facing product migrations.
Working Arrangements & Travel
The role is based in New York and requires effective collaboration with geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones. Travel may be required to support integration planning, delivery workshops, readiness reviews and stakeholder engagement.
