Senior Microsoft 365 Automation Engineer with strong PowerShell Exp

Contract Role

POSITION SUMMARY

Administers and automates Microsoft 365 services across the firm, with emphasis on secure identity lifecycle, messaging/collaboration provisioning, reporting, and reusable operational tooling. Automation must preserve least privilege, auditability, and confidentiality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build reusable PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API/SDK automation for Microsoft 365 administration.

Automate user/group lifecycle, onboarding/offboarding, licensing, mailbox provisioning, and access changes.

Automate Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID administrative processes.

Design secure app registrations and unattended automation using appropriate delegated/application permissions and identities.

Build enterprise reporting and Graph integrations with pagination, batching, retry, throttling, logging, and error handling.

Operate automation through Azure Automation and related services; troubleshoot production and permission issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATION

Advanced PowerShell and strong Microsoft Graph API/SDK experience.

Strong Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID administration experience.

Azure Automation experience.

App registrations, enterprise applications, delegated/application permissions, and RBAC experience.

Working knowledge of Conditional Access and modern authentication.

Experience building secure, supportable, unattended enterprise automation.

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, confidentiality, auditability, and change-control discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Microsoft Purview, Defender, DLP, Sentinel, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Power Automate experience.

Experience in a law firm or other security- and confidentiality-sensitive enterprise
