Quant Trader – Digital Assets / DeFi/ London

We are working with an established proprietary trading business looking to hire a Quant Trader into its digital-assets team.

The role sits close to live trading and will involve managing and improving systematic strategies across decentralised markets. You will work alongside quantitative researchers and engineers, using data and market knowledge to identify opportunities, improve performance and manage risk.

The role

You will be involved in:

1. Managing and improving live trading strategies across decentralised markets
2. Monitoring performance, market conditions and risk exposures
3. Identifying new trading opportunities and areas for strategy improvement
4. Supporting liquidity-provision, proprietary trading and yield-based strategies
5. Analysing trading data and testing new ideas
6. Assessing new venues, protocols and market developments
7. Working closely with quantitative and engineering teams

What we are looking for

1. At least 1 year of professional trading experience
2. Experience in quantitative, electronic, systematic or similarly data-driven trading
3. Strong commercial judgement and risk awareness
4. Ability to analyse data and use it to improve trading decisions
5. Some coding ability, ideally Python or another relevant language
6. Degree in a quantitative or technical subject, or equivalent practical experience
7. Genuine interest in digital assets, market structure and decentralised trading.

Previous crypto or DeFi experience would be useful, but is not essential . Candidates coming from traditional markets such as electronic trading, derivatives or other quantitative trading environments can also be relevant.
