We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Analyst to join a fast-paced, high-performing ICT cyber security team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in strengthening security across complex ICT environments by conducting detailed risk assessments, contributing to security documentation, and providing expert guidance aligned with Australian Government frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments across ICT systems and applications
- Develop and contribute to security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and SSP Annexes (SSP-A)
- Provide expert advice on system and application design in line with PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight frameworks
- Present risk assessments, findings, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive audiences
- Identify and recommend improvements to strengthen overall security posture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliant and effective security solutions
- Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders on cyber security risks and mitigation strategies
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Government cyber security teams conducting risk assessments
- Proven experience assessing Azure Cloud, legacy ICT, AI technologies, and complex systems
- Strong knowledge of Australian Government frameworks including PSPF, ISM, and Essential Eight
- Solid understanding of networking infrastructure
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and translating technical risks into clear business outcomes
- Confidence presenting technical information to senior and executive audiences
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management and ability to handle large workloads
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
