MES Solution Architect Siemens Opcenter / Camstar Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MES Solution Architect with strong expertise in Siemens Opcenter (formerly Camstar) to lead the design, development, upgrade, and implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for large-scale, global projects. The ideal candidate will have strong Life Sciences domain experience, solution architecture expertise, and a proven ability to lead technical teams and deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and upgrade of MES solutions using Siemens Opcenter/Camstar.

• Serve as the Solution Architect, responsible for solution design, architecture, upgrade planning, and technical delivery.

• Design, develop, and maintain CIO Maps and workflows using Camstar/Opcenter.

• Lead requirements gathering and translate business and manufacturing processes into effective MES solutions.

• Define and implement the Factory Model based on business and user requirements.

• Lead overall site implementation of Camstar/Opcenter.

• Design and support interfaces between MES and external applications, including:

  • ERP

  • LIMS

  • Manufacturing equipment

  • HMI

  • Other plant and enterprise systems

• Ensure solutions meet project quality, performance, and compliance requirements.

• Coordinate and distribute technical work among team members.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to project teams.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure successful delivery.

• Support documentation and processes related to computer system validation (CSV).

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter / Camstar MES.

• Experience with Camstar Designer and CIO.

• Experience leading Camstar/Opcenter upgrades.

• Strong knowledge of MES solution architecture and implementation.

• Experience with CIO Maps and workflows.

• Experience defining and implementing Factory Models.

• Experience integrating MES with ERP, LIMS, equipment, HMI, and other external systems.

• Good understanding of SQL.

• Understanding of computer system validation (CSV) processes.

• Strong experience working on large, global projects.

Domain Experience

• Strong Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical manufacturing domain experience is required.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and regulated environments is highly preferred.
