Software Developer

.NET Software Engineer, 100% Remote (CST)

Brooksource is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our Fortune 5 healthcare client. This primarily a backend role is focused on building and supporting cloud‑native, distributed systems while integrating with legacy applications.

Responsibilities:

·      Design, build, test, and support backend services using C# / .NET

·      Work across legacy (.NET Framework) and modern (.NET Core / .NET 8) codebases

·      Build and consume RESTful APIs

·      Collaborate with teams & stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

·      Participate in and lead code reviews; mentor junior and mid‑level engineers

·      Build, deploy, monitor, and support production services

·      Work within an Agile/Scrum environment across multiple initiatives

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of enterprise-level software development experience, specifically in a .NET environment
• Experience with both modern .NET Core (.NET 8) + older .NET Framework (4.6/4.7)
• Experience with C#
• Experience with microservices‑based architectures
• Facets experience
• Kubernetes
• Typescript front-end development
• SQL experience (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field OR 4 years’ relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Experience with Terraform, Python, DDD and TDD
• Team player mentality
• Healthcare domain experience
