Job Description
We are looking for a talented and customer-focused Audio Visual Engineer to join our growing team, working across London and the surrounding areas. As an AV Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and fault-finding professional audio visual systems at a variety of client sites. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure systems are delivered and maintained to a high standard.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced AV Engineer looking for a varied role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and commission professional AV systems.
- Attend client sites across London to carry out planned and reactive service work.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and system health checks.
- Fault-find audio, video, control and networking systems.
- Configure and commission video conferencing and collaboration systems.
- Work with AV control systems and signal distribution equipment.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers.
- Complete service reports, commissioning documentation and job sheets accurately.
- Liaise with project managers, customers, manufacturers and suppliers.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
- Travel to client sites throughout London and occasionally further afield.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as an AV Engineer or in a similar technical role.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of professional audio and video equipment.
- Experience installing and commissioning AV systems.
- Knowledge of AV signal flow and cabling.
- An understanding of IP networking and AV-over-IP.
- Experience with video conferencing and meeting-room technology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A professional appearance and attitude when working at client sites.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
Experience with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Dante, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, HDBaseT, SDI, AV-over-IP, DSP and control systems would be highly advantageous.
Relevant manufacturer certifications would also be beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
