Job Description

Cloud Azure Architect

Location: Hybrid London (Remote with occasional on-site attendance)
Duration: Initial 6 months

Start date - ASAP

Day rate: £(Apply online only) a day inside IR35

About the Role

The Client is seeking an experienced Cloud Azure Architect to lead the design and integration of its next-generation application hosting platform.

The initial focus will be supporting the redevelopment of the Member Website platform being delivered by Pixel, however the platform is expected to support additional application modernisation initiatives in the future.

You will be responsible for the Architecture design of secure, scalable web or mobile member apps hosted on Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or serverless functions. You will be responsible for Identity and Access Management: Integrate Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for secure member authentication, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC). Along with, data management and API integration overseeing the creation of secure RESTful APIs to connect the member app with legacy systems, CRM platforms, or third-party services.

Platform Architecture

Design Azure-based hosting platforms.

Design Kubernetes and AKS solutions.

Define hybrid-hosting architectures.

Develop high-availability and resilience strategies.

Integration Architecture

Design integration with identity platforms.

Design application connectivity and networking.

Support database integration and hosting.

Define security and operational requirements.

Technical Leadership

Lead architecture workshops.

Collaborate with software development teams.

Work directly with Pixel and other suppliers.

Support technology decision-making.

Documentation & Standards

Develop high-level and low-level designs.

Produce architecture and deployment documentation.

Maintain platform standards and reference architectures.
