The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud services, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, incident management, and DevOps practices.

The candidate will work closely with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve system reliability, automate operational processes, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure optimal application performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, manage, and maintain scalable and highly available AWS infrastructure.

  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools.

  • Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

  • Monitor system health, application performance, availability, and reliability using tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.

  • Manage and support AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, Route 53, RDS, Lambda, and EKS/ECS.

  • Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.

  • Implement reliability engineering practices, including Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.

  • Manage incident response, on-call support, system recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

  • Implement security best practices, access controls, monitoring, and compliance standards across AWS environments.

  • Collaborate with application development, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.

  • Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.

  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and incident reports.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.

  • Experience with Linux system administration, troubleshooting, networking, and performance tuning.

  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

  • Experience in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.

  • Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, load balancing, and high-availability architectures.

  • Familiarity with Git and version control practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS, and serverless architectures.

  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible.

  • Experience implementing disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.

  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
