Payments Programme Manager - Portfolio Lead, Payments, Debit Card, Modernisation, Current Account Switching Service, Fraud, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Real-Time, end to end UK Payments, Financial Services - Permanent - Up to £130,000 Base + Bonus


My client, an exciting UK Digital Bank, is urgently looking for a Programme Manager to join their London based office on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, and you will be required in the office 3 days per week (in the City).


This is an exciting opportunity to run lead the Payments Portfolio, managing all programmes and projects within this space. They currently have a lot of change within the portfolio, including Debit Card Modernisation, Current Account Switching Services, Digital Channel integration and platform enhancements. You would be managing the team of Project Managers, providing strategic oversight as well as being in the technical detail where necessary, so a full end to end understanding of Payments is needed. Due to the nature of the bank, they have a lot of 3rd party suppliers and integration in the platforms too, so stakeholder engagement and vendor management will play an important part in this role.


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proven Programme Management experience within the banking sector (preferably working at a challenger bank or Fintech)
  • Extensive Payments knowledge (end to end)
  • Technical delivery experience from a project / programme perspective
  • Experience managing a team of project managers
  • Excellent stakeholder management and vendor experience
  • Excellent communication skills
