Location: Woodford, Essex / Nationwide
Working Pattern: Mobile role 2 days per week in the Woodford office, with regular travel to sites

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction, refurbishment, property maintenance or void works?

We are working with an established construction business that is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join its team on a permanent basis.

This is a mobile role overseeing damp remediation, refurbishment and void works across multiple locations throughout the UK, including London, Bristol, Guildford, Reading and surrounding areas.

You will be based at the companys Woodford office two days per week, providing project updates, discussing upcoming works and working closely with the wider team. The remainder of your time will be spent travelling to sites and managing projects on the ground.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects from initial instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing damp remediation and associated building works

• Overseeing plastering, internal repairs and general refurbishment

• Managing kitchen installations and refurbishments

• Managing bathroom installations and refurbishment works

• Overseeing full void property works and reinstatement

• Managing general building and property maintenance works

• Coordinating multiple trades, subcontractors and site teams

• Managing project programmes, quality, costs and health and safety

• Liaising with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams

• Carrying out regular site visits and monitoring project progress

• Identifying issues at an early stage and ensuring they are resolved promptly

• Providing clear and regular project updates to the office and wider team

• Ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality, programme and specification

About You

We are looking for a practical, proactive and well-organised Project Manager who understands construction and is confident managing multiple trades and projects simultaneously.

You will ideally have:

• Previous Project Management experience within construction, refurbishment, property maintenance, housing or a similar environment

• A good all-round understanding of multiple construction trades

• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams

• Experience with damp remediation, refurbishment, voids or similar works

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality

• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems

• The confidence to challenge poor workmanship or programme issues when required

• A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel nationwide

You do not need to be a specialist in every individual trade. However, you should have a strong all-round understanding of construction and be confident identifying poor workmanship, programme delays and potential issues before they become larger problems.

Location & Travel

The role is based from the companys Woodford office, with an expectation that you will attend the office twice per week.

The remainder of the role is mobile and site-based, with regular travel required to projects across the UK, including London, Bristol, Guildford, Reading and surrounding areas.

Candidates based in East London, West London, South West London or the surrounding areas may be particularly well suited to the role. Locations such as Woodford, Uxbridge, Twickenham and the wider London area could work well, provided you are comfortable with the travel requirements.
