IBM Cognos SDK Java Developer
Remote Role
Fulltime/W2- Infinite Computer Solutions
Role Overview
Seeking a Senior Java Developer / Cognos Administrator with strong IBM Cognos SDK expertise to develop custom Cognos solutions and manage enterprise Cognos Analytics environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Java applications using IBM Cognos SDK for content, reporting, scheduling, jobs, security, and automation.
  • Work with Content Manager, Content Store, Report/Batch Report Services, Job Service, Search Paths, and Cognos objects.
  • Develop/support CJAP, trusted sign-on, SSO, SAML, OIDC, Active Directory, and PING integrations.
  • Administer Cognos environments, including Gateway, Dispatcher, Content Manager, security, deployments, upgrades, migrations, HA, and DR.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Cognos, Java/JVM, SQL, database, authentication, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DBA, security, and application teams.
Must Have
  • Strong Java development experience.
  • Hands-on IBM Cognos Analytics + Cognos SDK experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Cognos Content Manager & Content Store.
  • Strong SQL skills; Microsoft SQL Server mandatory.
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP, JDBC, XML/JSON, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Java concurrency.
  • Experience with Windows/Linux and enterprise application troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization.
Nice to Have
  • Cognos 11.x/12.x administration.
  • CJAP, trusted sign-on, SSO, SAML/OIDC, AD/PING.
  • Cognos HA, upgrades, migrations, automation, and CI/CD.
  • Oracle and enterprise reporting experience.
