Operations Director / Senior Business Analyst - Transaction Banking

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for an Operations Director / Senior Business Analyst - Transaction Banking for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Dallas, TX .
Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week, increasing to 4 days onsite.
Responsibilities:

• Support a highly visible, multi-phase transformation initiative within Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Operations related to the acquisition and integration of a new entity.
• Lead business analysis activities for complex transaction banking projects, system implementations, and operational process improvements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and current-state/future-state operating models.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, deliverables, milestones, and implementation activities across multiple workstreams.
• Define UAT strategies, test plans, and test cases; coordinate unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze corporate and commercial deposit operations, back-office processes, system interfaces, and operational risks.
• Design and reengineer business processes to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce costs.
• Develop operational procedures, process documentation, training materials, knowledge libraries, and job aids.
• Support system training and implementation readiness for Operations users.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, change management, and external partners to deliver project objectives.
• Develop operational metrics and reporting to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure solutions and processes align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational risk management standards.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience within transaction banking, corporate/commercial banking, or deposit operations.
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial deposit products, back-office operational processes, system interfaces, and risk management techniques.
• Experience with FDIC insurance implementation and related banking operational requirements.
• 4+ years of hands-on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience, including test planning, test case development, and execution.
• 3+ years of experience with business analysis tools and methodologies, including JIRA and Confluence.
• 3+ years of experience with project management principles and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, and process mapping tools such as Visio.
• Strong experience gathering business requirements, documenting workflows, and developing operational policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver within a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent).
• Consulting background, preferably supporting banking transformation or systems implementation initiatives.
• Product Owner or Product Ownership experience.
• Experience creating, modifying, and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
• Experience supporting banking acquisitions, integrations, deposit migrations, or large-scale operational transformation programs.
