Data Scientist with Security Clearance

Comprising more than 130 personnel, the Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) delivers expertise across program and project management, acquisition and contracting, systems and digital engineering, software development, test and evaluation, sustainment and life-cycle management, cybersecurity, international/Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT services.

These capabilities support more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects within the Navy's Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Mission Systems, Maritime and Munitions, as well as clients at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, and the Office of Naval Research. Responsibilities We are seeking a Data Scientist to support NAVSEA / Portfolio Acquisition Executive Maritime. This is a Hybrid position in the Washington, DC area.

Candidate will be part of a new Data Analytics team supporting Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment. Anticipated tasking includes:

• Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings by creating dynamic data reports.
• Assist in the development of briefing material.
• Execute data calls to gather inputs from stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
• Evaluate deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in math, science, engineering, or related field
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience
• DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
• Reports to Washington Navy Yard, up to 20% of the time, based upon the needs of the client Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree
