Role: Healthcare Imaging Solution Architect (AHI)

Healthcare Imaging Solution Architect is responsible for defining end-to-end cloud-native imaging architectures on AWS, driving DICOM/DICOM Web interoperability, and leading the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance imaging platforms.

Responsibilities: -

• Design, Define and own the end-to-end architecture for healthcare imaging platforms built on AWS cloud services.
• Design and implement DICOM and DICOM Web APIs including QIDO, WADO, and STOW to support healthcare imaging interoperability and data exchange requirements.
• Lead solution design for imaging workflows, metadata management, image lifecycle management, and healthcare interoperability use cases.
• Evaluate, recommend, and integrate AWS services, including AWS Health Imaging, to build scalable and resilient imaging solutions.
• Drive the adoption of microservices architecture using Java and Quarkus to support cloud-native application development.
• Establish engineering standards, DevOps practices, CI/CD processes, and cloud-native development best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture decisions align with business, clinical, performance, and security requirements.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and problem resolution for complex healthcare imaging challenges.
• Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, reliability, and security standards while supporting Agile delivery practices.

Educational Qualifications: -

• Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
• Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Skills: -

Mandatory skills

• Strong experience in designing and architecting cloud-native solutions on AWS, including services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and IAM.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Java development with expertise in Quarkus and/or Spring Boot for building scalable enterprise applications and microservices.
• Deep understanding of DICOM standards and DICOMWeb APIs, including QIDO, WADO, and STOW, with experience implementing imaging interoperability solutions.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing microservices-based and distributed system architectures within cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices for automated deployments and operational excellence.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted coding and development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, debugging, and architectural decision-making skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Strong focus on application quality, system performance, scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and system design capabilities.
• Experience working on Data Analytics solutions and data-driven application development

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with AWS Health Imaging services and healthcare cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and imaging ecosystem integrations.
• Experience with healthcare imaging workflows, metadata management, and enterprise imaging platforms.
• Exposure to observability, monitoring, and cloud-native operational frameworks.
• Experience leading architecture reviews, technical governance, and engineering transformation initiatives.
