Are you a passionate and inspiring Photography specialist looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Photography to lead and develop our Photography provision at GCSE and A Level from January 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for students. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the curriculum, promoting creativity and fostering a love of Photography across the school.
The Role
The Head of Photography will:
- Lead the development and delivery of Photography across the school.
- Inspire students through innovative and engaging teaching.
- Monitor and improve student achievement and progress.
- Develop schemes of work and curriculum resources.
- Support and mentor colleagues where appropriate.
- Promote enrichment opportunities, exhibitions and creative projects.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- A degree or relevant qualification in Photography, Art, or a related field.
- Experience of teaching Photography at secondary level.
- Excellent classroom practice and subject knowledge.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- A commitment to raising standards and ensuring excellent outcomes for all students.
- Be aware of health and safety issues and act in accordance with the school's Health and Safety Policy.
