Mechanical Engineer - Medical Device Foxboro, MA area Full Time

Position Overview:

The Mechanical Engineer will lead the design, development, and validation of next-generation medical devices. This role manages components from initial concept through prototype fabrication, design verification, and cross-functional production handoff.

Core Responsibilities:

CAD Design: Create robust 3D solid models, technical drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software.

Design Verification: Author test protocols and execute laboratory characterization and environmental stress testing.

Supply Chain & Manufacturing: Partner with vendors to source components and qualify injection molding or metal fabrication tooling.

Risk & Compliance: Maintain design controls aligned with FDA QSR and ISO 13485 standards while optimizing product reliability and COGs.

Qualifications:

BSME and 5+ years of hardware design experience in a regulated industry.

Strong background in plastics processing, metal forming, and design for automation.

Proficiency in production-level CAD modeling and standard project management utilities.
