Job Description

Team Quality Services | Senior Staff Accountant
Job Description
Position Title
Senior Staff Accountant
Company
Team Quality Services, Inc. Location
TQS Headquarters — Auburn, IN
Compensation
$70,000 base salary + full benefits
ABOUT THE ROLE
Team Quality Services operates across multiple entities and countries, and its accounting has to keep pace.

The Senior Staff Accountant is the hands-on owner of the general ledger across those entities — posting and reviewing entries in multiple currencies, reconciling intercompany activity, and running the monthly and quarterly global consolidation that leadership relies on to understand the business. This is not a role for someone who needs to be walked through the close. TQS is looking for an autonomous, self-driven accountant who can take a messy intercompany balance, figure out why it doesn't tie, fix it, and then fix the process so it doesn't happen again.

The hiring team's time is limited, so the right person will need minimal supervision and will proactively raise issues rather than waiting to be asked. Success in the first year looks like: a reliable, on-time multi-entity close; clean intercompany eliminations; well-supported consolidated financial statements and schedules; smooth external reviews and statutory audits; and at least a few tangible improvements to accounting workflows, controls, or Sage/ERP automation. RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, review, and post journal entries for multiple entities in multiple currencies.

Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts monthly and resolve variances. Perform global consolidations for monthly and quarterly financial statements. Reconcile and eliminate intercompany balances and transactions; coordinate with local/international teams to correct discrepancies. Manage foreign currency transactions, period-end revaluations, and cumulative translation adjustments (CTA). Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP; support IFRS/local-standard reporting where required.

Support management reporting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking for leadership. Collaborate with outside tax advisors on cross-border tax, transfer pricing, and compliance matters. Prepare documentation and PBC schedules for external financial reviews, statutory audits, and regulatory filings across jurisdictions. Recommend and implement improvements to close processes, internal controls, and reporting workflows. Support ERP/Sage upgrades, automation, and workflow enhancements.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Non-Negotiables
~ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
~3–5 years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience including full month-end close ownership.
~ Direct experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
~ Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
~ Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing deadlines.
~ Valid driver's license and eligibility to obtain/maintain a passport for international travel or training. Nice to Have
CPA (or CPA-eligible / equivalent certification).

Multi-currency and foreign currency translation experience; exposure to IFRS or local statutory standards. Advanced proficiency in Sage (Sage Intacct or Sage 100/300/X3). Exposure to transfer pricing, international tax, or cross-border compliance. Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or close automation. FIELD REQUIREMENTS
On-site at TQS Headquarters in Auburn, IN. Extended hours during close, quarter-end, and audit periods; occasional mandatory overtime per company policy.

Occasional travel to company facilities, customer locations, and international sites; must be able to drive on behalf of the company if required. Must meet company, customer, and service-location requirements (safety training, etc.). Occasional participation in meetings, training, or team events outside regular hours. GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
This role sits at the center of TQS's multi-entity, international finance function, giving the right person broad exposure to consolidations, foreign currency, tax, and audit work that most staff-level roles never touch.

A high performer who owns the close and drives process improvement is well positioned to grow toward Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller responsibilities as the organization scales. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
~ Base Salary:
$70,000 annually
~ Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
~ Paid Time Off
~401(k) with company match
~ Additional TQS benefits
