Job Description

We are looking for a Welder Fabricator to join the Frontier team, based at Holton, on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will support the workshop fabrication team with the in-house manufacture of our bespoke mobile seed plants. Alongside this, during the harvest season, you will be required to drive to farms and process farm-saved seed, checking quality of the seed, taking samples and maintaining mobile machinery, always ensuring the site/machinery is clean and tidy and health and safety processes are always adhered to.

About You

  • Welding and fabrication/engineering or coachbuilding experience.
  • Mechanic/Bodyshop experience would be advantageous.
  • Agricultural, engineering or grain handling experience would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate including, PA1 & PA11.

Your Role

As a Welder Fabricator your role will involve:

  • Welding and fabricating new mobile seed plant units from the chassis upwards
  • Manufacturing elevators and conveyors
  • Fabricating machine hoppers
  • Installing all frameworks, augers, pneumatics, and various auxiliary equipment
  • Operating the mobile seed plant unit during the harvest season, when required
