Job Title: Driver/Laborer
Location: Huntington, WV
Pay: $15–$16/hr
Job Description:
A local company is seeking a dependable Driver/Laborer to assist with delivering and setting up monuments at cemeteries, as well as performing essential warehouse duties. This role is a combination of driving, customer service, and hands-on labor, making it perfect for hardworking individuals who enjoy variety and physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload steel grave vaults on flatbed trucks and tractor trailers
Deliver and set up monuments at cemeteries
Add names and dates to existing monuments as needed
Maintain truck, equipment, and ensure cleanliness of vehicles
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Assist in the warehouse when not driving, including loading/unloading freight and vaults
Interact professionally and courteously with clients and cemetery staff
Complete and process all required delivery and pickup paperwork
Maintain a clean driving record
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license (must be insurable through company insurance)
No DUI or similar convictions
Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screen
Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently push and pull vaults using a two-wheel cart (up to 50 lbs.)
Ability to occasionally lift 75 lbs and frequently lift 50 lbs from floor to waist
Ability to walk and stand 6–8 hours per day
Ability to sit for extended periods (2+ hours) while making deliveries
