Job Description

Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC (CIC)

Interview process: 1 hour virtual with RTM, afternoons are best

Contract - 18 months, possibility to extend or convert (preference to candidates)

RTO schedule - 3 days in office MANDATORY (preferably M-W)

Job Description:

  • Software Engineer 4/Full Stack Java
  • Support credit card service.
  • Doing a major platform migration from legacy .Net to modern stack with Java, mongo DB, React. Project scheduled through end of next year.
  • Would like to hire based on 60% Java, 40% .Net skillset to work both sides of the fence, many people start off in .Net and switch to Java.
  • Will be working primarily in Java but being able to read .Net would be beneficial Recent experience with Java within the last few years. Java 15 or newer.
  • Will work on biweekly releases, would require Monday or Tuesday nights to support.
  • With new platform, an on-call rotation is going to be established.
  • Both will have schedules flexed and will not allow overtime.

  • 5 to 10 years of engineering
  • 5 years Java (version 15 or newer)
  • 3 years React
  • 3 years Mongo DB
  • OCP/Kubernetes
  • Business Process Management Apps such as IBM BPM, Pega, Azure Logic

Nice to Have:

  • .Net engineering
  • AI prompt experience, having written playbooks will single someone out
  • Autosys

In this contingent resource assignment, candidate may:

  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
