Job Description

HR BUSINESS PARTNER


Location: Watford (2-3 Days Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months

Pay rate: £450-£550 per day via Umbrella


Overview

This is a strategic and hands-on HR role supporting business leaders across a fast-paced environment, providing expert HR advice, driving performance, managing employee relations matters, and supporting organisational change initiatives.


The successful candidate will partner closely with managers and stakeholders to deliver people-focused solutions, support workforce planning, and ensure best practice across all areas of the employee lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and business leaders on all HR-related matters.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, capability, absence management, and complex casework.
  • Support and coach managers on performance management processes and employee development.
  • Manage and resolve HR queries, delivering commercially focused and compliant HR advice.
  • Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement and team effectiveness.
  • Support organisational change, restructures, consultations, and transformation initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with wider HR teams to deliver people strategies and business objectives.
  • Utilise Workday to maintain employee records, reporting, and HR processes.
  • Ensure compliance with current employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practice.
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends to provide insight and support decision-making


Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or equivalent HR generalist role.
  • Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage complex cases independently.
  • Demonstrable experience providing HR advice and responding to a high volume of HR queries.
  • Strong performance management experience, including coaching managers and supporting capability processes.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and transformation projects.
  • Previous experience using Workday is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.


Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or above.
