ServiceNow Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Job Description:

Role Summary

• We are looking for a highly hands-on ServiceNow Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who can work closely with customers, product teams, architects, and engineering teams to rapidly design, build, integrate, and deploy ServiceNow solutions.
• The FDE will bridge customer requirements and engineering execution, taking ownership from problem discovery and prototyping through production implementation and stabilization.
• This complements your existing ServiceNow developer expectations around requirements, development, integration, testing, and optimization.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on ServiceNow development and implementation experience.
• Excellent JavaScript and Glide API skills.
• Strong experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts and UI Policies.
• Hands-on integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub and MID Server.
• Experience with Service Catalog, workflows, portals/Employee Center/UI Builder and scoped applications.
• Good understanding of CMDB/CSDM and enterprise data models.
• Experience debugging complex production issues and integrations.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and ITIL processes.
• Ability to interact directly with customers, understand ambiguous problems, and independently drive solutions to closure.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow CSA + CAD.
• Relevant CIS certification based on the product area.
• Experience with Now Assist, Virtual Agent, AI Search, Predictive Intelligence or Generative AI.
• Experience building reusable applications using App Engine Studio.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Automated Test Framework (ATF), source control and DevOps practices.
