We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Lead Administrator / Technical Platform Owner to provide hands-on technical leadership, administration, governance, and strategic oversight of our enterprise ServiceNow platform.

This role serves as a senior internal technical authority for ServiceNow and combines advanced platform administration with responsibility for platform architecture, technical standards, integrations, security, upgrades, vendor oversight, and long-term platform health.

The successful candidate will be a strong hands-on ServiceNow practitioner who can also operate at an enterprise level – translating business requirements into sustainable technical solutions, establishing platform standards, minimizing unnecessary customization and technical debt, and providing technical direction to internal teams and external implementation partners.

Key Responsibilities

·        Serve as a senior technical owner and subject matter expert for the ServiceNow platform.

·        Provide advanced hands-on ServiceNow administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and production support.

·        Establish and enforce platform configuration, development, integration, security, and release-management standards.

·        Promote an out-of-the-box first approach and minimize unnecessary customization and technical debt.

·        Review and approve significant ServiceNow technical designs and platform changes.

·        Support and continuously improve enterprise ITSM capabilities, including Incident, Major Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.

·        Support Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) capabilities where applicable.

·        Design, support, and provide technical oversight for integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.

·        Lead technical activities associated with ServiceNow upgrades, patches, testing, releases, and environment management.

·        Maintain appropriate platform security, roles, groups, ACLs, and privileged-access controls.

·        Partner with Configuration Management teams to support effective CMDB and CSDM practices and data quality.

·        Monitor platform health, performance, automation, and integration reliability.

·        Provide technical oversight of ServiceNow consultants, implementation partners, and managed-service providers.

·        Maintain platform architecture, technical standards, integration documentation, and operational procedures.

·        Evaluate new ServiceNow capabilities and contribute to the long-term platform roadmap.

·        Mentor other ServiceNow administrators and help build internal platform expertise.

Required Qualifications

·        Approximately 5–8+ years of ServiceNow experience, including senior administrator, developer, technical lead, architect, or similar responsibilities.

·        ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

·        At least one current ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification.

·        Strong hands-on experience administering and configuring enterprise ServiceNow environments.

·        Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow ITSM.

·        Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, release management, testing, and production support.

·        Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, or comparable technologies.

·        Strong understanding of ServiceNow roles, groups, ACLs, and platform security.

·        Experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, notifications, Service Catalog, and related platform capabilities.

·        Working knowledge of CMDB and CSDM principles.

·        Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

·        Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

·        CIS – IT Service Management certification.

·        Multiple ServiceNow CIS certifications or Certified Application Developer (CAD).

·        Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Strategic Planning Workspace.

·        Experience integrating ServiceNow with platforms such as Jira, Workday, identity-management solutions, monitoring platforms, or other enterprise applications.

·        Strong knowledge of ITIL-based IT service management.

·        Experience working in a large, complex or regulated enterprise.

·        Experience directing or reviewing work performed by ServiceNow implementation partners or managed-service providers.
