A leading global technology and professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Technology Delivery Lead / Technology Project Manager to join its growing UK delivery team.
This is an opportunity for an experienced technology professional to take ownership of complex technology transformation programmes, working with leading organisations across the UK Health and Public Services sector.
The successful candidate will combine strong programme and project management capability with a solid technical understanding, taking responsibility for delivery across the full lifecycle from design and build through to testing and implementation.
The Opportunity
The Technology Delivery Lead will be responsible for ensuring complex technology programmes are delivered successfully, on time and within budget.
Working across multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams, the role will involve coordinating client stakeholders, internal delivery teams and third-party suppliers to maintain momentum and achieve agreed outcomes.
The successful candidate will operate comfortably across Agile and Waterfall environments, with experience using methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile.
This is a client-facing position requiring someone who can build trusted relationships, communicate complex delivery decisions clearly and provide effective leadership throughout the technology delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology transformation programmes and projects, from design through to build, testing and implementation.
  • Take accountability for delivering high-quality technology solutions on time and within agreed budgets.
  • Develop, maintain and manage comprehensive end-to-end delivery plans, ensuring milestones, dependencies and deliverables remain on track.
  • Manage day-to-day delivery across complex technology programmes involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Apply appropriate Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile approaches.
  • Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams to ensure effective programme execution.
  • Work closely with clients to understand requirements, manage expectations and ensure delivery assumptions and plans remain aligned.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise during solution design and implementation activities.
  • Manage project budgets, resources and delivery priorities effectively.
  • Work with internal teams, client organisations and third-party suppliers to coordinate work plans and resolve delivery challenges.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and become a reliable technology delivery partner.
  • Communicate delivery approaches, project decisions, risks and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project resources and delivery teams.
  • Contribute to programme governance and ensure appropriate controls are maintained throughout delivery.
Essential Experience
The successful Technology Delivery Lead is likely to demonstrate:
  • Proven experience managing technology projects or programmes across the full delivery lifecycle, including design, build and testing.
  • Strong experience managing project budgets, resources and delivery plans.
  • Practical experience delivering technology programmes using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of risk, assumptions, issues and dependency management.
  • Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience leading, managing or line-managing technology delivery resources.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across different locations.
  • Strong technical understanding in one or more areas such as:
  • Technical Architecture
  • Solution Architecture
  • Technical Design
  • Business Analysis
  • Software or technology delivery
  • Proven experience delivering projects and programmes at scale using Scrum, Kanban or Scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of programme governance, stakeholder management and budgetary control.
Desirable Experience
Candidates who can demonstrate some of the following will be particularly well suited:
  • Experience delivering complex technology programmes involving multiple internal teams, client organisations and third-party suppliers.
  • Previous experience within the UK public sector, healthcare or government technology environment.
  • Experience working with or delivering solutions for UK Government organisations.
  • Strong senior stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
  • Experience managing complex delivery environments with multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
  • Cloud, SaaS or technology certifications.
  • Experience working within large-scale consulting or professional services environments.
  • A strong combination of technical capability, commercial awareness and emotional intelligence
