Job Description
This is a ongoing, full time position within the Organisational Development Team. You will be responsible for functionally leading diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) at The RCH. You will provide both design and hands on delivery of a range of strategic and operational initiatives that support this portfolio.
Internally, this position will be known and/or referred to as: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Lead.
Classification for this position will be governed by Award 10 - Managers and Administrative Workers, and depending on experience will range from AO81 (Grade 8, Level 1) to AO85 (Grade 8, Level 5), plus Superannuation.
What you'll achieve:- Provide exceptional functional leadership across the portfolio including managing the developent of the RCH DEIB strategic plan
- Manage the delivery and implementation of RCH action plans related to the portfolio
- Design and deliver communication strategies and engage with senior stakeholderes and multidiscipllinary teams to implement initiatives
- Manage and deliver events in RCH's DEIB Calendar, including collaborating with other members of the Melbourne Children's Campus and broader LHSN
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field, e.g., Diversity and Inclusion, Organisational Development, Human Resources
- Many years' relevant experience in diversity and inclusion in large complex organisations
- Demonstrated data management and analysis skills, particularly with large datasets
- Extensive experience and skill in diversity and inclusion issues and ability to apply these in an organisational context

- Compliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure
It is a requirement of your employment that you be vaccinated against Influenza annually for Category A and B roles, in compliance with any public health orders in place at the relevant time, unless you have a medical exception in line with those public health orders, which has been accepted by The Royal Children's Hospital. Applicants will be required to provide their Australian Government Immunisation History Statement, it is a requirement of the RCH to collect, record and hold vaccination information.
It is also a requirement of your employment that you comply with any direction given by The Royal Children's Hospital that you be vaccinated against, or prove immunity to, any other disease, unless you have a relevant exemption.
