Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a global engineering business specialising in advanced aerospace systems and components, are looking for a Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer in Gloucester to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a senior technical role leading the definition, development and integration of complex electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full engineering lifecycle. Key responsibilities of the Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer job based in Gloucester:

Lead system-level requirements, architecture definition, integration and validation<br />Provide technical oversight of electro-mechanical actuation systems incorporating motors, braking systems, sensors, solenoids and control electronics<br />Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive system-level technical decisions<br />Manage technical relationships with suppliers, reviewing designs, qualification evidence and technical changes<br />Define and lead system integration strategies and resolve complex system-level issues<br />Oversee verification, validation and certification activities against relevant aerospace and military standards<br />Lead technical reviews, risk assessments and system-level trade studies<br />Support production, flight test and in-service investigations, including root-cause analysis<br />Drive continuous improvement across systems engineering processes, tools and practices Experience required for the Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer job based in Gloucester:

Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Systems Engineering<br />Extensive experience with aerospace actuation systems or other high-integrity systems<br />Strong systems engineering experience covering architecture, integration, requirements and V&amp;V<br />Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS, Polarion or equivalent<br />Proven experience leading supplier technical activities and design reviews<br />Experience working to DO-178 and DO-254 requirements<br />Strong understanding of engineering drawings and interface specifications<br />Experience with modelling, simulation, MBSE/SysML or safety/reliability engineering desirable<br />Strong technical leadership, communication and problem-solving skills<br />UK national with the ability to attain BPSS and SC security clearance If this Lead Electro-Mechanical Engineer job based in Gloucester could be of interest, please send your CV to (url removed) or call Ben on (phone number removed)
