The Opportunity
Amylyx is seeking a Director, Access Marketing, to lead the strategic development and execution of market access resources for multiple customer audiences. Reporting to the Senior Director, Market Access Strategy, this individual will be responsible for access marketing strategy, content development, messaging, and pull-through materials for payers, PBMs, health systems, HCP offices and their staff, and patient services programs for avexitide, the company’s lead product candidate. The role will translate access strategy, customer insights, evidence, reimbursement considerations, and patient support offerings into compelling, compliant materials that help advance patient access.
Responsibilities
- Own the development of access marketing strategy, messaging, value narratives, and customer-facing resources for avexitide, supporting market access field teams, patient services, and the field sales team.
- Lead the development of avexitide payer and access marketing resources, including Pre-Approval Information Exchange (PIE) presentations, payer value proposition (PVP) materials, disease education resources, and budget impact models, in close collaboration with HEOR, Medical Affairs, and the National Accounts team.
- Lead the development of access materials, including HCP office staff educational resources and patient services program marketing assets, in strong partnership with Patient Services, Trade, HCP Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Use internal and external resources to track, monitor, and improve avexitide coverage across commercial access customers (PBMs and payers) and government customer types (Medicare, Medicaid, VA, DoD, and TRICARE).
- Create PBM, payer, health system, specialty pharmacy, trade, and provider office materials that communicate product value, coverage considerations, reimbursement pathways, affordability support, and patient services offerings.
- Partner with Market Access, Brand Marketing, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, HEOR/RWE, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Field Access, Training, and Commercial Operations to ensure materials are accurate, compliant, differentiated, and actionable.
- Use customer insights, payer dynamics, coverage trends, and field feedback to refine access messaging and identify unmet educational needs.
- Manage agency partners and vendors through briefing, content development, review, production, deployment, and measurement.
- Establish success metrics for access marketing initiatives and evaluate effectiveness through field feedback, customer engagement, and business impact indicators.
- Champion materials through medical, regulatory, and legal review.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, PharmD, or related discipline preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech market access marketing, payer marketing, patient services marketing, managed markets, or related commercial roles.
- Experience building payer resources, such as PIE presentations, PVP materials, and disease state education
- Experience building HCP office support and patient services resources, such as prior authorization and appeals kits, medical exception resources, coding, billing, and reimbursement guides.
- Strong experience using access platforms to monitor coverage and policy and building action plans to support launch/post-launch environments.
- Experience with rare diseases, specialty products, launches, or patient support programs preferred.
- Proven ability to develop compliant, customer-facing market access resources from strategy through execution.
- Experience leading agency partners, materials review processes, cross-functional teams, and launch or lifecycle access initiatives.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally

Work Location and Conditions
- At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. However, due to business considerations related to health insurance coverage and state tax regulations, we are unable to hire employees who reside and/or work in certain states. Currently, we are not considering applicants from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Michigan and Tennessee.
- You will be expected to travel to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year and attend other company-related events as necessary and requested.
- You must have access to work in setting which enables meeting all requirements of the role (including privacy, reliable internet access, phone, ability to video conference, etc.) at your remote location.

The pay range posted below represents our good faith estimate of compensation for this role, based on market data and internal benchmarks. The final offer may vary depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as considerations of internal equity.
