Job Description

Position: Python Developer with Java Expertise
Location: NYC, NY
Experience: 7–9 Years
Interview: In-Person – Local NYC candidates only
Employment: W2 / C2C
Visa: // H1B
Required Skills:
  • Expert-level Python development
  • Strong Core Java experience – OOP, Collections, Streams, Multithreading, Concurrency
  • FastAPI, Flask, and/or Django
  • Spring Boot/Spring and Java REST APIs/microservices
  • Strong REST API and Microservices development
  • Python testing – PyTest / unittest
  • Java testing – JUnit / Mockito
  • Strong SQL and relational databases – PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
  • Kafka / RabbitMQ and event-driven architecture
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • CI/CD – Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • OAuth 2.0, JWT, API security, logging, resilience, and performance optimization
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, system design, and production support experience
Preferred:
  • Enterprise-scale application development
  • Distributed systems and event-driven architecture
  • Java-to-Python application/service modernization experience
  • Financial Services / Banking / Insurance experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
Important: Candidate must be local to NYC and available for an in-person interview.
