Project Manager

A well-established building contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join the business.

With a strong pipeline of secured work, they deliver refurbishment, fit-out and construction projects up to £2million across education, healthcare and public sector environments, with much of their work taking place in occupied buildings where careful planning and communication is essential.

The Role You'll lead the day-to-day delivery of a live construction project, ensuring it is completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the site team, subcontractors, clients and consultants, you'll coordinate every stage of the project, with a particular focus on projects delivered within occupied buildings where minimising disruption is key.

Key Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for delivering projects from pre-start through to completion and handover.<br />Manage projects valued at up to £2 million.<br />Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.<br />Monitor programmes, budgets and project performance.<br />Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.<br />Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates.<br />Resolve design and technical issues with the wider project team.<br />Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality and company procedures.<br />Plan works effectively within live environments to minimise disruption.About You Proven experience as a Project Manager with a building contractor.<br />Experience delivering refurbishment, fit-out or construction projects<br />Background working within education, healthcare or public sector environments is advantageous.<br />Strong organisational, commercial and programme management skills.<br />Excellent communication and leadership skills.<br />SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.What's on Offer Competitive salary and package.<br />A long-term opportunity with a busy regional contractor.<br />A secure pipeline of work across the North West with an established contractor known for repeat business and framework projects.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
