Job description

At Horizontal Digital, we hold ourselves to one key belief: You’re only as good as your worst customer experience. This manta is what drives our digital consultancy to think beyond the easy answers and instead create websites, apps, portals and other experiences that solve customer needs for Fortune 500 companies in intuitive and empathetic ways. And we make this lofty standard a reality by fusing strategy, data, design and technology together to arrive at solutions that set the bar higher for everyone.

We use these values to fuel superior results:

Lock Arms We forge relationships that make our impact 1,000x stronger. This means working across departments and engaging both our clients and our communities to deliver the greatest good.

Show Hustle We’re not ones to sit on our hands and wait. Instead, we anticipate opportunities, collectively roll up our sleeves and find ways to execute the exceptional.

Embrace change From new technologies to workplace philosophies, we welcome the unexpected and constantly anticipate what’s next.

Elevate empathy We listen before we take action. This means understanding a variety of perspectives and holding ourselves to a higher standard of accountability.

Never settle We motivate each other to push past the easy answers and collectively arrive at bigger, more inspiring ideas.

But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

As an Associate Project Manager / Scrum Master in our offshore global delivery team, you'll own day-to-day delivery execution, sprint facilitation and project governance on multi-cloud Salesforce engagements, working closely with onshore Project and Program Managers. This role is a strong platform to grow your delivery leadership on enterprise Salesforce programs, with mentoring from experienced project managers, technical leads and consultants.

What you’ll do:

Every day is different, but here's a sample of what you can expect to experience and accomplish:

  • Agile Delivery: Lead all Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews/demos and retrospectives) and own sprint plans, milestones and release timelines in line with onshore PM commitments.
  • Jira & Confluence Governance: Own Jira hygiene (workflows, estimation, sprint scope, backlog structure and user stories with clear acceptance criteria) and keep Confluence documentation, meeting minutes, decisions and action items current.
  • RAID, Scope & Change: Manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies, track burn rates against estimates, flag scope creep or budget variances early, and support the onshore PM on change orders, margin calculators and escalations.
  • Team & Financial Administration: Run onboarding and offboarding, maintain resource allocations and utilisation in Certinia or equivalent tools, approve weekly time entries and support billing readiness.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare weekly status reports and dashboards, contribute to PULSE / RED reviews, Proforma analysis and steering committee inputs, and act as the bridge between the India team and onshore engagement leadership.
  • Salesforce Delivery: Coordinate workstreams across Sales, Service, Experience and Marketing Cloud, Data 360, Agentforce and MuleSoft; track cross-team dependencies, deployment pipelines (e.g. Salesforce DevOps Center, Copado or Gearset) and go/no-go readiness; and plan UAT, data migration rehearsals, cutover and hypercare.
  • GenAI-Enabled Delivery: Use approved GenAI tools (e.g. Atlassian Rovo) for meeting minutes, Jira hygiene and JQL reporting, documentation, status reports, risk spotting and Salesforce release summaries, following Horizontal and client AI policies and checking all output before it is shared.
  • You will work with your manager to create a 30-60-90 day plan to establish your long-term career path within the organization.

Who you are:

  • You are an organised, dependable delivery partner who keeps teams, boards and documentation in order without being asked, and raises risks, slipping dates and scope changes early.
  • You are comfortable facilitating across time zones, cultures and seniority levels, and curious enough about Salesforce to ask technical teams the right questions.
  • You are flexible and optimistic under shifting priorities and ambiguity, and recognized as trusted, empathetic and accountable by clients, colleagues and vendors.

What you bring:

  • Experience: 4–5+ years in IT/software delivery project management, consulting or digital agency environments, including hands-on PM or Scrum Master work on Salesforce projects, ideally at a consulting partner or SI.
  • Salesforce & Agile Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Salesforce product suite, sandboxes, deployments, configuration versus custom development and release management, plus a deep understanding of Scrum/Agile, sprint metrics (velocity, burndown) and release planning.
  • Tools: Advanced or admin-level Jira (board configuration, JQL, reporting) and Confluence, plus an enterprise PSA/ERP tool for resource scheduling, time approval and project accounting. Certinia experience is a strong plus.
  • GenAI: Everyday use of GenAI assistants (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Atlassian Rovo) and familiarity with how Agentforce and Einstein features are delivered on Salesforce projects.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CSM, PMI-ACP, PMP or equivalent; Salesforce Certified Associate or Administrator.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of working with distributed teams and onshore stakeholders.

Team Expectations:

  • We set our clients up for success (proactive best practice leadership, clear expectations, validated assumptions)
  • We know the technical problem we are solving (validated before we build)
  • We have agreement between client and team about what good looks like (written down)
  • We provide elegant, efficient solutions (find the right line between code and config, minimal technical debt)
  • We test our work before deploying (always)
  • We treat our client's environment with care and respect (measure twice / cut once)
  • We ask for help when we need it (we are aware of our blind spots)
  • We are transparent (communicate risk, issues, bad news in a timely and clear way)
  • We help our clients become competent and confident owners of their solution (clean documentation, clear training)
