The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize various lifting equipment to stack, move, and organize containers efficiently.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate logistics and task assignments.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Aptitude for working outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
• Willingness to maintain open availability, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
