Internal Sales Engineer

We re recruiting an Internal Sales Engineer to join an established engineering business, supporting sales growth across the EMEA region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded, technically interested individual to develop customer relationships, support external sales teams and identify new business opportunities within a technical engineering environment.

Based from the Nottingham office, this Internal Sales Engineer role offers 50/50 hybrid working, alongside opportunities for future career progression across the wider business.

A technical background or relevant qualifications would be advantageous, helping you develop an understanding of the products and potentially progress into other roles and departments.

• Support the external sales team with complex quotations, development work, project support, progress chasing, work-in-progress checks and quality issues.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across existing and prospective customers.
• Generate and qualify leads to strengthen the sales pipeline.
• Build relationships with key purchasing, engineering and other customer contacts.
• Monitor competitor activity and pricing to support sales strategies.
• Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records using Salesforce CRM.
• Work collaboratively to achieve sales revenue and margin targets.

Key Responsibilities: Internal Sales Engineer About You

We re looking for a technically minded, commercially focused individual with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

You ll ideally have:

• Experience in sales, business development, customer service, account management or a customer-facing technical role.
• The ability to understand technical products and solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good IT skills, ideally including CRM systems.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
• A degree, preferably in a technical discipline, is desirable, although equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
