Our client a leading asset management firm, located in New York City is looking to hire a Financial Services Senior Data Architech. This is a Full Time Position. Work will be conducted 4 days in office and 1 day from home. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time. Own the enterprise data strategy, tighten governance, modernize architecture, and deliver fast, trusted insights that drive decisions across the firm.
Responsibilities
Set the vision: Define a forward-looking data strategy and architecture aligned to business goals and emerging tech.
Govern the data: Create and enforce policies for quality, security, privacy, and compliance.
Engineer the platform: Design scalable models and databases; build/optimize ETL/ELT pipelines (SSIS, Azure tools) and integrate Snowflake.
Enable insight: Partner with stakeholders to translate needs into actionable BI—automate and maintain reports/dashboards (SSRS, Power BI; InDesign optional).
Master the data: Implement MDM and data quality frameworks; profile, cleanse, and document data assets and flows.
Continuously improve: Evaluate current designs, recommend upgrades, and track new tools to keep us competitive.
Requirements:
10+ years building enterprise apps/database solutions; 5+ years in financial services.
Deep expertise in SQL Server, T‐SQL, SSMS/SSIS/SSRS, Power BI, SQL Replication, Azure data services, Snowflake.
- In-depth knowledge of data security and compliance, including Azure security practices.
- Good understanding of Azure environment and DevOps
- Expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server Data Management Services (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Strong chops in data modeling, governance, security/compliance, and ETL/MDM.
- BS/MS in CS, Data/Information Systems (or similar).
- Any experience in the following is a plus: InDesign, Power Apps/Automate, ActiveBatch, Docker/Kubernetes, SharePoint, Azure DevOps.
