A large enterprise organization is hiring a Threat Hunter to join its cybersecurity team in Minneapolis. In this role, you will proactively identify, investigate, and respond to potential threats across a large and complex environment.
You will work heavily with Splunk/SIEM, security logs, endpoint detection tools, and IOC analysis to investigate suspicious activity and correlate findings across multiple systems. The team is also leveraging AI-driven security scanning tools, so you will help review and validate findings generated by those tools, determine whether impacted systems are vulnerable or compromised, and support escalation and remediation efforts.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in threat hunting, SOC operations, or incident response
- Hands-on experience with Splunk or another SIEM platform
- Experience analyzing and correlating security logs
- Experience with EDR or endpoint security tools
- Strong understanding of indicators of compromise and common attack techniques
- Experience investigating security alerts and determining severity and scope
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with AI-driven security or vulnerability scanning tools
- Experience investigating web-related vulnerabilities or certificate-related security issues
- Experience working in a large enterprise security environment
- Experience partnering with incident response, security engineering, or DevSecOps teams
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Perform proactive threat hunting across enterprise systems and networks
- Use Splunk/SIEM tools to analyze and correlate security events
- Investigate endpoint activity and EDR alerts
- Analyze indicators of compromise and determine potential scope and impact
- Investigate vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and security findings
- Review and validate findings generated by AI or security scanning tools
- Escalate confirmed threats and support containment and remediation efforts
- Document investigation findings and communicate results to appropriate security teams
